WPS's path towards the future with SmartFlo conveyor systems

More and more domestic as well as international customers are using the SmartFlo conveyor product line from WPS to automate logistics in their facilities.

This modular system is suitable for installation on most greenhouse floors and propagation surfaces. A system can be installed in a greenhouse but also on outside propagation areas and is suitable for a variety of pots and trays. WPS is looking towards the future with the SmartFlo Development Roadmap. This Roadmap for new SmartFlo developments enables WPS to structurally design new features and add-ons to the SmartFlo system.
Herewith we would like to show our latest improvements and developments.

SmartFlo does not only save a huge amount of labor but also makes the labor more ergonomic and easier for the employees. An organized and peaceful workflow is the result.
The compact design ensures efficient use of space and belts double function as walking aisles.
For the coming years, WPS is aiming to launch yearly innovations for the SmartFlo product line. Solutions that complement the current products and to be intergraded into existing SmartFlo systems as well.

New: SmartFlo Flexit and Count

Recently WPS launched an improved version of the SmartFlo Flexit. Which was first installed at Van Son & Koot in Bleiswijk, the Netherlands. This perpendicular movable belt gets the plants even closer to the employees in the greenhouse bays.

The first SmartFlo Counts have also been delivered. This wireless device counts the number of plants passing the unit and can stop the system once the number of plants needed has been transported.
Herewith making them prone to mistakes manual counting a thing of the past.

In the short term, the Count will be accompanied by the SmartFlo Relay, which will enable you to wirelessly start and stop other machines in line with SmartFlo.

In a few weeks, we will introduce a complete SmartFlo solution for outside.

For the long term, we are focusing on SmartFlo hardware using smart mobile sensors and vision technology.

Soon: SmartFlo Dashboard

SmartFlo hardware has to be supported by Smart Software.
With the introduction of SmartFlo Dashboard, growers can real-time see their complete SmartFlo operation and functionalities via a portal on their smartphone, tablet, or computer.




Together with growers, WPS is aiming for ‘Handsfree Growing’: being able to grow with peace and oversight. By continuously monitoring the market and listening to clients, WPS wants to continue to innovate and become the new international norm for automating logistics on commercial growing surfaces.
