"Walking Plant System is best in class for Karma Plants"

A 10,000 m2 expansion of the Walking Plant System has enabled Karma Plants to increase its production. To get the most out of this expansion, the nursery has decided to extend its current WPS system as it has already led to a remarkable improvement in quality and higher yields per square metre.

Karma Plants and WPS: a successful partnership

This expansion of the Walking Plant System is a next step in the successful partnership between Karma Plants and WPS. The first Walking Plant System was installed at the nursery’s Bemmel (the Netherlands) location in 2005. Having started out with a buffer table system, in 2014 the company decided to build an underground link between Karma Plants’ two sites. With the current expansion of the systems, the two parties are once again expressing their confidence in each other.

Walking Plant System

The Walking Plant System delivers exceptionally high plant quality and labour savings. The system is based on the principle of growing in belts. Plants are moved by smart shuttles making the whole system hands-free. Despite the fact that it is static, it proves its worth day after day. Growers who use the WPS system soon notice that it gives their operations a massive boost. We use a calculation model to work out the savings you can achieve with the Walking Plant System.
